The Odhav Industrial Association (OIA), Ahmedabad, was founded in 1967-68, coinciding with GIDC’s initiative to spearhead the industrial revolution in Gujarat. Odhav Industrial Estate, one of Gujarat’s oldest and largest industrial hubs, spans approximately 12,700 hectares and houses over 1,171 industrial units across four phases. The estate comprises industrial, commercial, green spaces, public purpose areas, and housing plots, all integrated within the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).
OIA currently has 414 members and offers essential services such as road infrastructure, water supply, waste management, street lighting, and sewage systems. We maintain two overhead tanks, two water sumps, and four borewells, with a 14 km pipeline ensuring water supply throughout the estate. Our road network consists of approximately 14 km of asphalt and RCC roads, complemented by 270 streetlights with sodium and LED fixtures. Additionally, we collaborate with AMC for door-to-door waste collection services. A Primary Health Center is available within the estate, providing basic medical care to industrial workers and local residents, benefiting around 5,000 individuals annually.
The association regularly organizes health awareness seminars, blood donation camps, annual get-togethers, technical workshops, and business development seminars for our members and the wider community.
